Marcy Tocker | Grey Muzzle Manor

Marcy Tocker, MA, NCC

Marcy Tocker is a professional counselor and the founder of Grey Muzzle Manor Sanctuary, Inc. She graduated with her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculate University in 2018 after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. Marcy became intrigued by equine-assisted psychotherapy at the age of 19 through interactions with her exceptional mare and best friend, Fancy. Marcy remembers thinking, “everyone has to know what horses can do.” This was the catalyst for years of as much possible revolving around one day creating a place where people and animals could heal together in a unique way that often does not involve words.

Marcy has been certified in the EAGALA model since 2016. Marcy is a client-centered, trauma-informed therapist who specializes in impulse control disorders, attachment disorders, LGTBQ+ youth, foster care and adoption, and trauma. She also utilizes expressive art therapy, play therapy, and attachment-based trauma play therapy. Marcy currently sees clients in an office, via Telehealth, and on her farm. Marcy utilizes the entire farm, including all of its residents, in therapy sessions. She is accompanied in all sessions by a therapy dog and a legend in his own mind, Emmett. Marcy (and Emmett) will walk alongside their clients through their personal journey of healing.

Marcy has worked in animal and child welfare organizations. Marcy is also a foster parent. She enjoys being outside, riding, anything creative or involving play, puzzles, and Lego. Marcy has an affinity for tiny, old, and decrepit dogs and typically has quite a few in her company.
